Jack’s vows: “You helped me find my voice”

One of the most enriching aspects of this job is that I get to frequently witness these strong expressions of love and vulnerability. Every now and again, someone will be able to articulate these complexities in ourselves, our relationships, and our perspectives in such clear and concise ways. It always catches me off guard. During Jack and Brooke’s ceremony, Jack is reading his vows and he said “You helped me find my voice”. Fucking beautiful. As vague as a statement as that seems, anyone that hears it knows exactly what it means. I love that people can come into our lives and empower us in ways that can make us blossom.
